Frequently Asked Questions

Please email us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Nervous system regulation and somatic practices support your well-being by addressing the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of stress and healing — all through the body.

Rather than working only at the level of thought, this approach helps you build awareness of how experiences live in your body and teaches your nervous system how to shift from stress and survival (fight, flight, freeze) into greater calm, balance, and regulation.

Over time, people often experience:

  • A stronger mind–body connection and deeper self-awareness
  • Improved ability to regulate emotions and respond rather than react
  • Reduced stress and chronic tension in the body
  • Faster recovery after stressful or emotionally intense moments
  • Increased resilience during transitions, challenges, or busy seasons
  • Greater clarity, focus, and present-moment awareness
  • A growing sense of safety, self-trust, and compassion

These practices can be especially supportive for anxiety, depression, overwhelm, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, and chronic stress. They are trauma-informed, gentle, and designed to meet you where you are.

By working with breath, movement, mindfulness, and body-based awareness, you learn practical coping skills that fit into real life — supporting not just symptom relief, but lasting regulation and balance.

This work isn’t about fixing yourself.

It’s about supporting your nervous system so you can feel more grounded, connected, and capable — in your body, your relationships, and your everyday life.

Somatic and nervous system–focused sessions can support a wide range of physical, emotional, and life experiences — especially when stress, overwhelm, or disconnection begin to impact your well-being.

This work may be helpful if you’re experiencing:

  • Chronic stress, overwhelm, or burnout
  • Anxiety, worry, or feeling constantly “on”
  • Emotional awareness, regulation, or resilience challenges
  • Depression or low energy
  • Trauma, PTSD, or the effects of past experiences
  • ADHD or nervous system sensitivity
  • Physical tension, pain, or discomfort related to stress
  • Substance use or coping patterns you want to understand more compassionately
  • Relationship or family stress
  • Major life transitions, grief, or existential questions
  • A desire for deeper self-connection, grounding, or personal growth

The coaching program and sessions focus on developing practical somatic skills that help you regulate your nervous system, build resilience, and respond to challenges with more clarity and ease.

Support is collaborative and individualized — we work together to identify what your body and nervous system need, and tailor practices to meet your unique goals and circumstances.

In addition to live sessions, there are on-demand practices, courses, and group offerings that may be a supportive fit, depending on your needs.

Somatic skills sessions and nervous system regulation work are therapeutic in nature.

These sessions focus on body-based practices — such as breathwork, gentle movement, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation — to support emotional well-being, stress reduction, and self-awareness. They are designed to help you build practical skills you can use in everyday life.

If you are working with me in a counseling or psychotherapy context, sessions may include therapeutic treatment goals and be documented as therapy. In other offerings — such as groups, programs, classes, or on-demand content — the work is educational, experiential, and skill-building, rather than clinical therapy.

This work can be:

  • A standalone support for stress, overwhelm, and self-regulation
  • A complement to ongoing therapy or medical care
  • A way to build nervous system awareness and resilience outside of traditional talk therapy

If you’re unsure which option is the best fit for your needs, I’m happy to help guide you toward the most appropriate support.

No special preparation is needed — this work is designed to meet you exactly where you are.

For sessions and on-demand practices, you’re invited to:

  • Choose a quiet, comfortable space where you can listen and move gently
  • Set aside as little as 5–15 minutes, depending on the practice
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement
  • Sit in a chair, on the floor, or on a mat or towel — all options are welcome

You may also enjoy having a journal or piece of paper available for occasional reflection, intention-setting, or noting something that resonates — though this is always optional.

For the Breathe, Move, Heal 4-Month Coaching Program:

  • On-demand practices are best experienced in a quiet space where you can listen and be present, even briefly
  • For the twice-monthly live coaching calls, all you need is:
    • A reliable internet connection
    • A device to join Zoom
    • A space where you can comfortably sit, listen, and connect

No yoga experience is required, and all practices are trauma-informed, inclusive, and adaptable. Everything can be done seated, with minimal movement, or adjusted to support your body’s needs.

Most importantly, you don’t need to “do this perfectly.”

Simply showing up — with curiosity and care — is enough.

That’s completely okay.  All live coaching calls are recorded, and replays are available for you to watch when it fits your schedule.

You’re welcome to join live whenever you can, but there’s no pressure to attend every session in real time. This program is designed to support real life — including busy schedules, changing energy levels, and unexpected moments.

Many participants find value in both options:

  • Joining live for connection and shared practice
  • Watching the replay when they need more flexibility or space

You’ll still receive the full benefit of the teaching and guided practices, whether you attend live or watch later.
